The 37th annual Winterfest weekend offers a little something for everyone. Listed below is a tentative schedule of events. Additional information will be available on our website and Facebook page as more events are finalized. Volunteers, Sponsors and donations for all events are always welcome and appreciated.

Friday, February 3rd
Snowflake Family Trivia – Get the family together and compete against other families in this trivia contest. Runs 6:30pm to 7:30pm in Room 12/14 at the Baraboo Civic Center. The winning family will receive a voucher for four 2023 Madison Mallards tickets (valued at $96). Preregistration is preferred.
Saturday, February 4th
Winterfest 5K Run – The annual Winterfest 5K Fun Run is back. Runners will be divided into different age groups, and there will be awards for the top finishers in the age groups. Proceeds go to future Civic Center program improvements. Early registration fee is $10. Price increases January 21st.
Brrr-sketball 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament – Teams of up to 4 players can compete to bring home the championship. Age group divisions from grade 2 to adult. Tournament will take place at the Baraboo Civic Center gymnasium starting at noon. Early registration fee is $30/team. Price increases on January 7th.
Cocoa Crawl – The Friends of Baraboo Parks invite you to tour the town while enjoying cocoa & fun. Details are still being stirred up so check our Facebook Page @Baraboo Parks for complete information closer to the event.
Outdoor Ice Skating Party – FREE event from 1-5pm at Langer Park (weather/ice conditions permitting). Refreshments available. Please bring your own skates.
Candlelight Walk – FREE event from 6-8pm at Maxwell-Potter Conservancy. Parking available at the dog park/arboretum and Greg Wise shelter lots on Hill Street and Mill Race Drive. The Riverwalk will be lit along the loop around Effinger Drive and over the new bridge! Warm up at the Bon Fire at the Greg Wise Pavilion with some hot
cocoa too.
Sunday, February 5th
Anything but a Sled Race – Find your own creative way of sledding down the hill. The more unique item the better! Just don’t use a sled! Participants must follow all rules for the sled race. Preregistration is preferred to help us prepare.
Family Sledding & Snowball Party – FREE Bring your sled to the hill at Steinhorst Park for some sledding, snowball fights, and refreshments. Event starts at 3:00pm and runs to 5:00pm.
Winterfest Indoor Open Skate – Free Admission at Pierce Park Pavilion 5-8pm. Limited Skate Rental available for a small fee. Full details at www.thunderbirdyouthhockey.com
Monday, February 6th
Winterfest 55+ Games – Free event for those ages 55 & older. Test your skills at several target games or various mini-games. Certificates awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers in various age groups. Starts at 10:10am in the Baraboo Civic Center Gymnasium on Monday, February 6, 2023. Pre-registration is not required but helps us plan. There will be open gyms at the Baraboo Civic Center on Monday, January 30, Wednesday, February 1, and Friday, February 3 at 10:45-11:30am for those that would like to practice the games.
