Candlelight Snowshoe Hike

The Friends of Devils Lake State Park invite you to a Candlelight Snowshoe Hike. It’s winter, but that doesn’t mean you have to stay inside! Cure your winter cabin fever and join us for this winter adventure! Go on a self-guided snowshoe (depending on snow) or hike through the park.
Warm up by the campfire and make a s’more, all taking place at the North Shore “Rock Elm Shelter”. Bring your snowshoes or borrow one of our pairs – we have lots of sizes to fit everyone in your family. Make sure you dress appropriately. Waterproof snow boots, traction cleats, walking poles, layered clothing, hats, and gloves are recommended.
Meet outside the Rock Elm shelter on the park’s north shore. Watch for signs directing you to the event START. Event volunteers will be on hand, wearing a yellow high visibility vest, to greet you and assist you during the event.This event is free, but a 2023 state park vehicle admission sticker is required for your vehicle.
