Vintage Brewing Co., Sauk Prairie
Dive into a rotating menu of seasonal craft brews at Vintage Brewing Co., all made in-house. The beer garden, which also serves a selection of mouthwatering Midwestern bites including burgers, barbecue mac and cheese and beer-battered cod to soak up those drafts, offers both indoor and outdoor seating with views of the Wisconsin River. Dogs are also welcome.

River’s Edge Pub & Grub, Wisconsin Dells
River’s Edge Pub & Grub is rustic family dining at its best, with plenty to see and do. It’s known for its 4,000-gallon aquarium boasting an array of fish. Dart boards, pool tables and a jukebox provide even more entertainment. On the menu, American classics — sammies, curds, wings — and hearty breakfasts are the antidotes to hunger pangs.

Corner Pub Brewery, Reedsburg
After a day spent conquering the 400 State Trail, head over to Corner Pub Brewery for some good old pub fare. Classic, filling and never disappointing, this is the kind of food that doesn’t count toward your diet after a day spent in the great outdoors. So feel free to load up on pretzel melts, Tater Tots and prime-rib sandwiches. You deserve it.

Monk’s Bar & Grill, downtown Wisconsin Dells and Lake Delton
Monk’s Bar & Grill opened more than 75 years ago as a footballer’s burger joint and is now a temple of Wisconsin Badger iconography and a must-stop on any visit to Sauk County. The operation has grown to include several locations and more menu items, but the world-famous burgers, with their premium Wisconsin cheese and proprietary blend of Midwestern ground beef, remain the same: perfection.

Logan’s Heroes Bar & Grill, Loganville
Be a hero and take your family, date, friends, whomever to Logan’s Heroes Bar & Grill for homemade pizza, great burgers and epic sandwiches. The place itself is cozy, with most locals occupying the bar and everyone else either securing a table or standing, so be prepared to make some new pals. The people are friendly, and every bite is served with a smile. You can also get your food to go.

J’s Pub & Grill, Reedsburg
Pull up a chair and take a load off; J’s at the grill and ready to serve up nostalgia in a bowl, on a plate or tucked into a split-top bun. This spot prides itself on favorites that have stood the test of time, like golden-fried chicken tenders, juicy burgers piled high with all the fixings, steaks smothered in mushrooms and the house favorite, breaded Canadian walleye.

The Del-Bar Supper Club, Lake Delton
Seventy-five years and three generations add up to one seriously fine dining experience. A stalwart steakhouse in the Wimmer family, The Del-Bar dazzles patrons with its traditional dining in a modern, luxurious atmosphere. Guests are treated to brandy old fashioneds before being taken to their tables, where dinner is a choice of steaks, oysters and other seafood.

 Green Acres, Sauk City
Winner of the 2023 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, Green Acres was built upon land cultivated in the 19th century by a Hungarian immigrant known as The Count. Today, the supper club pours more than 40 wines by the glass and uncorks upward of 125 bottles. While you sip, savor traditional nibbles and entrees that include steaks, seafood, poultry and pasta.

Reunion Restaurant & Social Club, Spring Green
Located in a historic bank, Reunion is one of the newest additions to Spring Green. It’s the second restaurant from Leah Spicer and Kyle Beach, the duo behind the Homecoming restaurant at the White School. Serving gorgeous plates of food and beautiful cocktails in the Driftless Area, Reunion is the perfect meetup for cheese boards, pastas, veggie-focused dishes and Italian-inspired desserts.

Broken Bottle Winery, Baraboo
At Broken Bottle Winery, the motto is “You don’t have to be fancy to drink wine.” And while that may be true, we are talking about sipping wine at a winery, which in and of itself feels fancy. Still, the vibe at BBW is rustic and relaxed. Patrons can sip indoors at the tasting bars, on the front porches or out by the stage, where live music acts keep the party going.

Wollersheim Winery and Distillery, Prairie du Sac
Wollersheim is an award-winning winery and distillery perched on a picturesque hill overlooking the Wisconsin River. The wines and spirits are made from Wisconsin native grapes that are fermented and distilled on-site, near a historic 1858 building that was converted into a bistro featuring French-inspired fare.

Mr. Pancake, Wisconsin Dells
Located in a steamboat — on dry land — Mr. Pancake has been a local mainstay since 1962. The eatery is an ideal breakfast spot to kick off a day of splashing around at Noah’s Ark, which is right across the street. Plus, parents, there’s a new barista bar for all your caffeine needs.

Ishnala Supper Club, Lake Delton

A serene supper club tucked away in the woods of Mirror Lake, it’s been voted the No. 1 supper club in the Midwest and has a come-as-you-are, stay-awhile ethos. With Rat Pack-era music floating through the trees and guests enjoying cocktails on the beach before their dinner, it’s almost as if you’ve been transported into another dimension.

A mix of past and present, the Wiscocktail Lounge touts itself as a love letter to the old taverns of the Badger State. A drinks-only spot,  the menu features wine, beer and spirits all native to Wisconsin. Signature cocktails such as the old-fashioned, grasshopper and Sazerac are reinterpreted by the mixologists into contemporary classics.
